Counseling Rounds

Rajasthan MBBS Counseling 2026 — All Rounds Explained

Understanding each counseling round helps you plan your seat strategy

Round 1 — Main Counseling

Registration, choice filling, and first allotment. Most seats filled here. Candidates who receive an allotment must decide: accept and report, or wait for Round 2 (risk of losing current seat). If you get your target college in Round 1, report immediately.

Round 2 — Upgradation Round

Unfilled seats + surrendered seats available. Students who joined in Round 1 can still fill choices for a better college. You MUST have joined the Round 1 allotted college while participating in Round 2. Excellent for students who want to move to a better college.

Mop-Up Round

All remaining unfilled seats across all colleges. Often some premium colleges have seats here due to dropouts. Open to all eligible candidates. Requires fresh registration or continuation from earlier rounds.

Stray Vacancy Round

Final round for any last remaining seats. Very limited seats available. Often includes seats across multiple states in MCC counseling. Last chance to secure a seat before academic year begins.
